Today my boyfriend, Ryan, and I woke up at 2:30am and started our Journey to pick up the newest addition to the family. Drowsy eyed and and barely functional, we loaded the car with puppy essentials, an overnight bag and Emma, my beautiful 4 year old English Cream Golden retriever. An hour later we were off on 7hr journey to the breeder's house. We took turns catching up on sleep while the other listen to audio books and by noon we had reached our destination, a small suburb outside of Philadelphia. We were in Mennonite country. We wove our way through the complex of country roads, through landscapes so picturesque that you could have mistaken it for a Normal Rockwell painting. We pull into the driveway and the breeder greets us and brings out three gorgeous female pups! There is almost to much cuteness to handle. But one pup shown brighter then all the rest. Little Kelsy is put into my arms and it is love at first sight!
After the paperwork is finalized, Kesly greats the rest of her new pack, Emma. Emma is a little less enthusiastic about this new addition then we are but she is a good sport and joins in on the festivities ... eventually. Welcome to the family sweet baby girl!
